Exam / Refund Policy

REGISTRATION

  1. You are solely responsible for ensuring that any exam or services you purchase meet your needs. We are not responsible for your grades and marking, as we only facilitate exams on behalf of exam boards.
  2. If you have not sat any examinations before in the UK, you will not have a UCI or ULN. Exam Centre Birmingham will create a UCI for your entries. If you have completed exams before, you will need to supply your UCI (Unique Candidate Identifier) number, which can be found on previous statements of entry, results or exam certificates or by contacting your previous school/examination centre.
  3. You are solely responsible for answering all questions in the application form honestly, completely, and to the best of your knowledge. Failure to do so may lead to incorrect exam registrations, and you may not be able to sit exams.

CHECK SYLLABUS REQUIREMENTS & IDENTIFY YOUR ENTRY CODES

  1. Before making an application, you must check the specification/syllabus produced by the exam board to ensure that you are fully aware of the regulations and requirements involved. It is vital that you check that the specification is one which can be taken by private candidates as not all specifications are available to private candidates.
  2. If the specification you want to take involves non-examined assessment (coursework, practical exams or speaking exams) you will need to check on the exam boards website to ensure that you are aware of the requirements and deadlines. For subjects not listed on the website you must check with our centre that non-examined assessment can be accommodated.
  3. Entries are made using a specific entry code. You must supply the correct entry code, as making amendments after the entry deadline can prove expensive. Entry codes can be found by searching the exam board entry handbooks online.

ENTRY DEADLINES (to avoid late fees)

  1. The last date to make an application without additional late fees can be found on our subject pages. Entries submitted before our entry deadlines will be processed without late fees if possible. This is reliant on prompt payment of fees and correct exam entry codes submitted.
  2. Entries received after our entry deadline can still be processed but you will be liable to pay late fees in addition to the standard entry fees. You will be informed of the late fees on our website if this is the case.
  3. You are responsible for checking the entry deadlines, the information can be found on our website subject pages.

PAYMENTS, FEES & WITHDRAWALS

  1. All fees are displayed clearly on our website. The fees are inclusive of the exam boards entry fees.
  2. Once the registration form is completed and payment has been received in full, we will make the entry with the relevant exam boards.
  3. Entries cannot be made until payment is received in full. Payment can be made by card payment on our website, or in cash at our exam office. We do not except cheques.
  4. Functional Skills, IGCSEs, GCSEs, AS and A-Levels, withdrawals requested before the exam board entry deadline will be eligible for a refund after a £60 admin fee charge for each subject withdrawal. Any withdrawals after the exam boards entry deadline will not be eligible to receive a refund under any conditions.
  5. 5. Cancellation and Rescheduling for the A Level 12 practical endorsements and GCSE practical activities, we require a notice of 30 days before the practical start date for any cancellation or requests to change the practical dates. Please note that no refunds or date change requests will be accepted once the practical dates have been confirmed.
  6. Subjects that include NEA coursework are not eligible for refunds, as a teacher will have been assigned to facilitate the coursework, marking and authentication.

 ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS
